T'was the Night Before Christmas
Each Christmas SES puts on a performance for the local community. This Christmas was a musical version of "T'was the Night Before Christmas"
In our school plays all the children are involved, as actors, singers and directors. Our 45 minute epic started the Christmas holidays in fine style!

Expeditions
After an exhausting, in-depth exploration of
Bali 's extraordinary diversity; viewing evidence of the geological birth of the island and the very special animals that live there both on land and beneath the waves. Our older primary children spent two days and two nights cycling and snorkelling on
Bali !
Each child had to raise enough 'responsibility points' to be allowed to go as well as prove they had the gained the necessary knowledge. Our secondary children went on a geography expedition to
South-East Java

Christmas Celebrations
Christmas is a time celebrated all over the world by Christian families. Traditionally it is a time to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, to be thankful and to reflect on the less fortunate than yourself.
We all enjoyed an early Christmas lunch at school - the children designed a Christmas menu, decorated their table and enjoyed their favourite foods.

Sports Day
Parents and children alike participated in all types of games. It was a fantastic opportunity for children and parents to demonstrate their sportsmanship. The trophy ceremony and family barbecue was a wonderful way to end the afternoon.

Halloween
Halloween is the night before All Saints Day where Ghosts and Ghouls visit the earth to spread rack and ruin before the following day when the lives of the good are celebrated.
We 'travelled through time' with each class showing an aspect of the rich history of Halloween, from the ancient Celts to modern . We dressed up and played traditional games like "ducking for apples". We did of course make the traditional pumpkin lantern and all went 'trick or treating'!
